How to play backup iso on ps3

It seems to good to be true but it seems possible to play backup games that are stored in the iso format now on the Playstation 3.
I have no way of testing if it works but the first indicators are positive. Please post your result in the comments.
There are a few prerequisites: Jailbreaked PS3 with backups enabled, External USB HDD
